How can I install TYRESAFE into the tyres of my car?
TYRESAFE is installed into the tyres of a car by trained staff for two
reasons: the tyres require balancing prior to installation and it is
imperative that the correct amount of TYRESAFE for the specific tyre
size be installed since the amount differs a mere 10ml between tyre
sizes. Look for TYRESAFE installation points where trained staff with
welcome you.

How is TYRESAFE* applied to a tyre?
TYRESAFE is applied with the use of a pressure applicator pump through
the air valve of the tyre. The valve core is removed and the pump connector
is immediately attached over the valve stem. It is not recommended to
try and pump against pressures above 50 PSI (3.5 BAR). The pump should
be calibrated to the correct amount of TYRESAFE required for the tyre
size. It is best not to force the pump handle down nor apply rigorous
or hard pressure as this may cause TYRESAFE to seal the valve stem during
the application (TYRESAFE is designed to seal holes under pressure).
In the event that the valve stem does become blocked, prodding the aperture
gently with 1mm wire or a quick blast of the airline may clear the valve
stem. After TYRESAFE has been installed, the pump connector is removed,
the valve core is re-inserted, and the tyre re-inflated to the correct
pressure.

Does TYRESAFE* contain any harmful ingredients?
No, TYRESAFE contains no harmful ingredients and does not need to display
harmful warning signs on the product packaging. A unique characteristic
of TYRESAFE is that it is COSHH friendly (Control of Substances Hazardous
to Health). This means that a TYRESAFE user does not need to be educated
in the safe handling of the product during use.

Does TYRESAFE* affect the tyre structure?
No. RAPRA (Rubber And Plastics Research Association) tests have demonstrated
that TYRESAFE has no detrimental effects on the tyre or tyre structure.
Under tests, no apparent changes occurred in the tyre rubber or its
components during prolonged exposure to TYRESAFE at varying temperatures
(between -40șC and 90șC).

Does TYRESAFE* cause any difficulties or problems if it becomes necessary
to perform a conventional vulcanized repair or hot or cold cure on the
tyre?
No. TYRESAFE can be washed from the tyre with water prior to performing
such repairs. However, it is possible to perform a conventional repair
on the tyre without having to remove TYRESAFE. All that is required
is for the immediate area around the puncture to be cleaned.

Will TYRESAFE* seal holes larger than 10mm in diameter?
There have been many cases where TYRESAFE has sealed holes up to 15mm.
Also, bolts with varying diameters (between 14mm and 19mm) have pierced
the tyres and been sealed by TYRESAFE.

7. What will happen if the hole is too large for TYRESAFE to
seal?
If the hole is large (between 10mm and 19mm), TYRESAFE will attempt
to seal the hole. TYRESAFE will slow down the escaping air until the
hole is plugged or until it is fully used up. The result is that you
will neither suffer a blow-out nor have to drive on your wheel rim before
being able to park safely and change your tyre.

Does TYRESAFE function in extreme temperatures?
RAPRA tests have proven that TYRESAFE will remain effective at temperatures
ranging from -40șC up to 90șC.

How many holes will TYRESAFE* seal?
TYRESAFE will continue to seal holes until it is fully used up.
10.
Will TYRESAFE* corrode steel or affect the wheel rims?
No. The TYRESAFE formula includes strong anti-corrosives and rust inhibitors.
11.
Will TYRESAFE seal rim or bead leaks?
TYRESAFE was not designed to seal rim or bead leaks, but is has been
known to do so.
12.
Will TYRESAFE seal sidewall or shoulder punctures?
No. Sidewall and shoulder punctures cause a major weakness in the tyre
structure and in such cases, the tyre should be replaced. However, TYRESAFE
will attempt to slow down the escaping air until the hole is plugged
or until it is fully used up. The result is that you will neither suffer
a blow-out nor have to drive on your wheel rim before being able to
park safely and change your tyre.

Will TYRESAFE* block valve apertures during or after application?
TYRESAFE should not cause a blockage to the valve aperture. However,
since TYRESAFE is designed to seal holes under pressure, it is important
that excess pressure is not used during the installation process. If
a blockage should occur, prodding the aperture gently with 1mm wire
or a quick blast of the airline should clear the valve stem.
14.
When a valve is opened to check tyre pressures, is it possible that
TYRESAFE* will pass back through the valve and clog the pressure gauge?
No, TYRESAFE will not and does not pass back through the valve stem.
15.
Does TYRESAFE* block the valve stem from the inside when air pressure
is released?
No (note: some vehicles operate at 50% tyre pressure in the desert to
effect increased traction for rising up gradients). If the valve stem
is placed at 12 oclock, this would not occur since the physical
position of the valve stem will be farthest from the TYRESAFE reservoir.
Most large vehicles use tyres with high walls and this is unlikely to
occur even with the valve stem at 6 oclock.
16.
Will TYRESAFE cause wheel imbalance in motor cars?
TYRESAFE will cause wheel imbalance only if the tyre is filled with
the incorrect amount of the product or if the wheels have not been balanced
prior to installation. When installation charts are properly used and
the wheels balanced by trained personnel, TYRESAFE will not affect any
aspect of the wheel balance.
17.
Will TYRESAFE* cause wheel imbalance on larger or smaller vehicles?
No. TYRESAFE does not affect wheel balance on any vehicle, large or
small, whose wheels do not require balancing prior to installation of
the product.
18.
Does TYRESAFE* have a shelf-life or expiry date?
No. TYRESAFE will continue to permanently seal punctures for the legal
life-time of the tyre.
19.
Will TYRESAFE* dry up inside the tyre?
No. TYRESAFE will dry only as a result of heat caused by the friction
of escaping air from a tyre.
20.
What will happen if I install TYRESAFE* into my tyres and then park
my car for an extended period of time?
Since TYRESAFE does not dry up inside the tyre, if the car is parked
for an extended period of time (3 days or more), TYRESAFE will simply
collect at the bottom of the tyre. In this case, once the car is re-used,
it is recommended to drive at a slow speed (not more than 40km/h) for
approximately 100 meters to allow TYRESAFE to re-coat the tread area
before resuming normal driving speeds.
21.
Will TYRESAFE* work on tubed tyres?
Yes. However, due to the poor quality of certain tubes, no guarantee
will be extended by the TYRESAFE installer.
